Footage shows Germanwings killer co-pilot in training a decade before Alps crash

Footage emerged last night of the Germanwings killer co-pilot training a decade before the fatal crash in the French Alps.
Andreas Lubitz who is suspected of crashing a passenger jet last Tuesday, is seen laughing and smiling as he takes off and flies a glider in Germany.
The 27-year-old started his training aged 20 in 2007 before taking a six-month medical break, then returned and later qualified as a pilot.
Lubitz - who is seen in the 30-second video obtained by ITV News yesterday - started a role as first officer at Lufthansa two years ago.
The clip was released as German reports claimed he may have been suffering from a detached retina before the jet crashed, killing all 150 on board.See more photos after the cut...
