Frank Lampard on house scouting in New York

Frank Lampard ahead of his  summer move to join his  MLS soccer team New York City FC in July. He and his fiancee Christine Bleakley, both 36, looked utterly delighted as they checked out what could be their new home in the city over the weekend.

Frank and Christine flew to New York for the weekend where they watched his new team take on  Sporting Kansas City on Saturday night at Yankee stadium.

But house-hunting was also on the agenda and both left the palatial pad with huge smiles on their faces.

Frank was clutching a set of floor plans for the apartment, which also comes with 5,300 sq ft of outdoor terraces. 

A source told the Sunday Mirror: 'It's an incredible place and he will have great company [a number of other high profile celebrities live in the building] if he gets the keys. It's taken a long time to make the move but he's finally starting to make plans to leave the UK.' 

Not only was Frank househunting on the trip but he also finally got to meet coach Jason Kreis and his new team-mates. 

However, Kreis has ruled out an early move to the new MLS outfit.
