NY man celebrates 108th birthday with wife, 104, and says keys to long life are pushups, fresh fruit, cups of tea, daily naps and God

Duranord Veillard, 108, has been married to his wife Jeanne, 104, for about 76 per cent of his life.

The Veillards, who tied in the knot in 1932 and have been married for 82 years, celebrated Duranord’s birthday earlier today.The couple, who have five children, 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, moved to Spring Valley, New York, after leaving Haiti in 1968.

They celebrated Duranord's 108th birthday today and will be celebrating Jeanne's 105th birthday in May. 

They have been married for every US president from Franklin Roosevelt to Barack Obama - 13 in all. 

A birthday party for Duranord was held at the home where the Veillards live with their daughter Marie, according to the Journal News.

The centenarian, who starts his day with pushups, a cup of tea, oatmeal and fresh fruit, said the secret for living a long and healthy life is God.

He also eats fish and fresh vegetable for lunch and dinner and takes multiple naps each day.
