The developing fuzz made her feel incredibly self-conscious, particularly during her teenage years, and her mum took her to get laser hair removal.
But the process was not effective for long and soon Annalisa's face was covered in bristles again.
In fact, the hair was so persistent that she had to shave twice a day to remove all trace of it.
She was left miserable and even developed agoraphobia, a fear of open spaces.
