People living with HIV and AIDS Protest in Abuja
Nigeria may have won the battle against the spread of Ebola due to the pro-activeness of both the Federal and some State governments.
However, the situation is different with HIV and AIDS, as people living with the disease staged a peaceful protest on Monday in Abuja as a result of the non-availability of antiretroviral drugs in hospitals and other care centers. They also complained of poor funding by International development partners, as well as the implementation of the comprehensive response plan initiated by President Goodluck Jonathan to address the non availability of antiretroviral drugs.
