Asu Ekiye, Gordons Shine At Holy Trinity Gala Night

Last weekend was one to remember for parishioners and friends of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church Maitama, Abuja, when popular comedians and musicians such as   Gordons, Asu Ekiye, and Onome De Saint, thrilled them with holy laughter on the event of its Gala Nite, ahead of the annual harvest, thanksgiving and bazaar.
Kick starting the activities of the night was an old school fashion parade by members of the Catholic men and women organisation, which showcased international and domestic fashion trends viz-a-viz cultural values.
The Charismatic Renewal group took to the floor with an emotional and religious melodrama, aimed at emphasising peace, unity and patience amongst mankind. Also, unforgettable melodious tunes reverberated from the Church’s central choir.
The crowd of worshippers could not contain it when Gordons and Onome De Saint took turns to crack jokes as they laughed endlessly.
With Asu Ekiye thrilling his listeners with a live performance, Gordons stole the show when he jumped on stage, showing off his dance moves.
Commenting on the event, the parish priest, Rev. Fr Chris Inegbenoghu, said the gala night was conceptualised to   add a “special side” to the activities preceding the Church is harvest and bazaar as well as the supportive roles played all through the year to bring the faithful together.
