NUPENG- Fuel scarcity will continue to be part of Nigeria’s socio-economic problem

National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers, NUPENG National President, Mr. Igwe Achese, at a briefing in Lagos, yesterday said fuel scarcity will continue to be part of Nigeria’s socio-economic problems if certain things are not fixed like if  the country’s refineries remain grounded, importation of petroleum products continues, subsidy persists, deregulation ignored and depot not rehabilitated.

Rivers State Governor-Elect, Barrister Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has declared that his administration will carry out a forensic audit of all government accounts to ensure the recovery of all resources stolen by top officials of the out-going administration in the state. This is even as he declared that all those who participated in the use of N4.5bllion to conduct illegal local government elections by the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission, RSIEC, will be brought to justice and made to account.

24 year old Anita Oluchi Okore murdered by ritualists in Port Harcourt


24 year old Anita Oluchi Okore, a graduate of Banking and Finance from Abia state University (pictured above) was murdered a few weeks ago in Port Harcourt by men believed to be ritualists. According to a family member, Anita, who is based in Ebonyi, had gone to see her older sister in Port Harcourt when she unfortunately ran into these men. Anita had called her dad to tell him she was about to enter a bus that will take her from the park to her sister's house.

Mark Zuckerberg makes $1.2BILLION on his 31st birthday... on top of $9.4bn increase in his net worth since he turned 30

Mark Zuckerberg rang in his 31st birthday with a billion dollar gift - $1.2billion, to be exact. This year saw the Facebook founder and CEO's shares jump $9.4billion in value, in addition to his $610,455 annual salary
Mark Zuckerberg celebrated his 31st birthday with a billion dollar gift - $1.2billion, to be exact.
Facebook's shares jumped $2.93 yesterday to $81.37, translating into a billion dollar gain for it's founder and CEO, who happens to own 426.3 million of them.
The stock's rise was the cherry on top of Zuckerberg's 30th year, which saw his shares jump $9.4billion in value in addition to his $610,455 annual salary, according to USA Today Money
